For its 180th edition, l'Exposition de Saint-Hyacinthe is innovating and making its entrance into the major leagues in the field of Strong Man competitions. As a matter of fact, and exclusively Canada, there will be a world round of Strongman Champions League which will be held during 2 days, next July 27 and 28.
Two of the strongest men in Canada, Jean-François Caron, Canadian champion for the past 6 years and Jimmy Paquet, will want to win this crucial step before their supporters and also qualify for the world final which will take place in the Canary Islands in November 2017.
However, opposition will be fierce with the confirmed presence of 10 other athletes among the world’s best. Among them are, CSL 2015 and 2016 champions, Krzysztof Radzikowski from Poland and Dainis Zageris from Latvia.
Also take note that British colossus Terry Hollands (6'7'' and 420 pounds) will be present as well as Irish giant Sean O'Hagan (6'11'' and 440 pounds).
In total, eight spectacular trials requiring brute force, speed and endurance are on the program, including four presentations every night. Television cameras will be on site as the competition will be broadcasted in over 100 countries worldwide.
